Description
Sleeping in a tent, the back of a wagon or under an awning is far more comfortable with a decent pad. The Self-Inflating Sleeping Pad has an open-cell foam core that expands when you open the valve, so you only need a few breaths to fine-tune the firmness.
The foam adds insulation from cold ground as well as cushioning, and the brushed top fabric feels less slippery than plain nylon. Choose the Regular size for tents and backpacks, or the Wide size if you like room to roll over or are sleeping in the back of a vehicle.
A good pad is one of the most noticeable upgrades you can make to your camping setup, and many people find they wake up warmer and with fewer aches. It also works well as a guest bed at home, a mat for festival camping or a comfortable surface for lounging in the back of a van after a long day of exploring.
Why you’ll love it
- Self-inflates when you open the valve
- Foam core for cushioning and insulation
- Brushed top fabric that is quiet and comfortable
- Two sizes to suit tents or vehicle sleeping platforms
- Rolls tight with attached compression straps
Good to know
On first use, unroll the pad and let it inflate for a while before topping up by mouth. Store it unrolled with the valve open, such as under a bed, to help the foam keep its loft. Clear the ground of sharp sticks and stones, and carry a small repair patch on longer trips. Shipping times to the United States and Australia are shown at checkout.

Bought the Wide for sleeping in the back of our SUV and it’s brilliant.

Huge upgrade from a foam mat. Easy to roll back up as well.

Comfortable and warm. Takes a little while to inflate the first time.
