Description
The Fire-Maple Petrel camping rice cooker makes it easy to cook proper rice on the trail. It is a 300ml micro-pressure inner pot made from aluminum alloy, stainless steel and silicone, designed to sit inside a Fire-Maple Petrel G3 or Quickboil main pot.
Using it is simple. Add 200ml of water to the main pot, place the rice cooker inside, then add up to 140 g of rice and fill with water to the max line. Close the lid and lock the clasp until it clicks, which is needed for micro-pressure cooking. Bring the water to a boil on high heat, reduce to low and simmer for 15 minutes, then take it off the heat and leave the lid locked for 10 minutes to let the rice rest. The cooker measures about 105 x 83 mm and is suitable for food contact.
