The shell is 86% nylon and 14% spandex quick-dry, breathable fabric with a hexagonal nylon mesh lining that helps wick sweat. Storage is well thought out: a separate hydration compartment, multiple multi-function pockets, a zippered side phone pocket and elastic waist pockets. An external system holds trekking poles horizontally, and a hydration tube port on the shoulder strap lets you drink without opening the pack.
