Long press the on key to start sensing mode, then turn the light on and off with a wave. The main light has three gears plus a burst flash, and the side lights have five gears including red and blue flashing. Runtime is about 10 to 12 hours on full strong light, 18 to 20 hours at 50 percent and 35 to 40 hours at 25 percent, so it lasts through long weekends.
